U2 "The Joshua Tree" to be remastered, expanded, venerated

Soon after "The Joshua Tree" was released, Bono tantalized fans with the revelation that they had for a time planned a double album release with several tracks added near the end of the album (some of which were released as b-sides, but some which were not) but they had to scale back their plans in order to meet the ship date and beginning  of the spring US tour (sounds like a software project.)

However, it appears now, 20 years later, fans may get to hear The Joshua Tree as was originally scoped:

Of most interest to fans is the inclusion of rare material on the expanded editions. Although details have yet to be announced, "Joshua Tree" demos, alternate versions and B-sides from the period are expected to appear.
