Robert Pollard "Silverfish Triva" EP is out

Hard to believe that's mid-April and there's been no new Robert Pollard releases yet this year (unless you count Asshole 2, which isn't music, but more drunken stage ramblings from the 2004 GBV farewell tour.

However, last week his latest work, the Silverfish Trivia EP, was released. A free mp3 of the album's single "Circle Saw Boys Club" is available from Robert Pollard's website.

A few reviews are trickling in, including this one:

RetroLowFi » Robert Pollard “Silverfish Trivia” (Prom Is Coming 2007)

The opening and closing pieces are little more than a pulsating string section framing some of the most gloriously lush songs we’ve seen out of the restless captain. You’ve also got the oughta-be-a-contender “Circle Saw Boys Club”, the beautifully creamy “Touched To be Sure” and the sprawling multi-part epic “Cats Love a Parade”. All are good on their own, but they add up to one of the best mood pieces I’ve found in awhile.

Although the album is being releaed on Robert Pollard's new label (Robert Pollard creates new record labels about as often as other artists release albums) Prom Is Coming, the record is being distributed by Revolver, and will "be in stores" this Thursday, the 24th. Hopefully on the iTunes store as well.
